Malti Marie has taken one step closer in learning Bollywood dance moves, just like her multi-talented mother, Priyanka. Chopra’s 8-month-old daughter, Chopra, shares her husband Nick Jonas’s tummy time skills. She looks strong already!
The Citadel Star shared rare photo of her daughter, Sunday mastering tummy-time. “Sundays are for reading!” Chopra wrote on her Instagram Stories.
Malti lies on an activity rug with a pink pillow underneath her stomach. Malti is holding herself high with her strong arms as the picture is taken from over her shoulder. She’s wearing a headband bow in the picture and a colorful tanktop as she plays. Her head is up, and she looks totally in control — you can tell she’s definitely been practicing. Malti is intently looking at a picture book, which is propped up in front. This is a great way for moms to get babies engaged and happy while having tummy time.
According to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), babies should be playing on their stomachs two to three times per day for a few moments starting at birth. Your baby will gain strength and develop their crawling muscles. This allows baby to feel different textures on their legs, tummy and surroundings and allow them to see the world from a new perspective. Malti looks so adorable doing it together with her mom.
Chopra also shared this picture of Malti on her back, reaching for toys from her mat. Malti is dressed in a cute two-piece shirt and skirt, with light pink bloomers. Even her tiny bracelet is visible on her right hand. In the photo, Chopra and Jonas’ dogs are lying on the floor, watching over their baby, and it is such a sweet family photos.
“All my babies,” the Quantico star wrote. “Perfect Sunday.” She also tagged her three dogs, who all have their own Instagram accounts. Diana Chopra Jonas (@diariesofidana), Gino Chopra Jonas (@ginothegerman), and Panda Chopra Jonas (@pandathepunk).
In another picture on Chopra’s Instagram Stories, Malti is wearing an adorable custom onesie that features a picture of her three dogs and says, “Protected by Gino, Diana & Panda.” Chopra wrote, “Thank you chummu masi @chickyp85.” It’s so adorable that Malti gets to grow up with three fur siblings who already love her so much.
Malti is having an amazing summer. In July, she went hiking with her mama and Chopra’s best friend, Tamanna Dutt, wearing the most precious little sunhat. Chopra also shared a photo of her and her parents swimming earlier in the month via her Instagram Stories. These cute glimpses into Malti’s life are so fun to see!
