Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ baby girl Malti Marie Chopra Jonas had a travel milestone this week, visiting New York City for the first time. Chopra shared a photo with Malti, where they were looking out at New York City. The actress captioned it, “Our first trip to the big 🍎😍🧿”
Malti was conceived via surrogate in January. However, she was born prematurely. Malti spent over 100 days in the NICU, before being released to go home in May with Jonas Chopra and Chopra. Chopra reflected on that trying time, writing on Mother’s Day:
On this Mother’s Day we can’t help but reflect on these last few months and the rollercoaster we’ve been on, which we now know, so many people have also experienced. Our little girl is now home after spending 100+ days in the NICU. Every family’s journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith, and while ours was a challenging few months, what becomes abundantly clear, in retrospect, is how precious and perfect every moment is. We are overjoyed that our little girl is finally home, and just want to thank every Doctor, nurse and specialist at Rady Children’s La Jolla and Cedar Sinai, Los Angeles, who were there selflessly every step of the way. The next chapter is now and our baby is a true badass. Let’s get it MM! You are loved by Mommy and Daddy.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers and caretakers in my life and out there. It seems so simple. We are grateful.
