A cheeky Devil seeks out humanity beyond Hell
The mystery series Lucifer Follow the story of the titular archangel, who is expelled from Heaven for leading a rebellion against God. Lucifer is tired of punishing others for their sins, and is unhappy with the sentence he has been given as the ruler over Hell.
He abdicates his throne, and abandons the kingdom. He establishes a business in Los Angeles, appropriately named the City of Angels. There he runs a nightclub that grants favors to anyone who requests them.
After he becomes involved in a murder investigation, he meets the one woman who doesn’t fall for his charms, the fascinating Detective Chloe Decker. Lucifer helps solve the case by using his mojo to get people to reveal the truth, after which he accepts Chloe’s invitation to partner as her consultant.
Tom Ellis portrayed the eponymous character throughout the series, while Lauren German played his LAPD partner–turned–love interest, Detective Decker. D.B Woodside and Rachel Harris co-starred as Lucifer’s angelic brother Amenediel and the Devil’s therapist, Linda. Other cast embers included Lesley-Ann Brandt as the demon Mazikeen, Aimee Garcia as the quirky LAPD forensic scientist Ella, and Kevin Alejandro as Chloe’s ex-husband and co-worker, Dan.
‘Lucifer’ fans noticed a glaring goof during Chloe’s pregnancy
Lucifer discovered that Chloe had a child and traveled back in her time to take revenge on her father. When Rory arrived unexpectedly, Chloe realized she was pregnant with Lucifer’s child. Amid the confusion, they decided to relish every moment because they weren’t sure what would happen next, given Rory’s claims that Lucifer had left them.
Lucifer, Chloe and Rory had a very special moment shortly after Chloe announced that she was pregnant. One scene shows the trio relaxing on the beach, with Chloe looking relaxed. Fans were not pleased with the plot holes.
One Reddit user wondered if other viewers had caught the inconsistency: “I wanted to know if anyone else noticed Chloe drinking in episode 9 AFTER she announced she was pregnant?”
Fans quickly agreed, saying they, too, noticed Chloe was holding a champagne glass and weren’t sure if it was a mistake or intentional. One fan suggested that they thought it might have been a sparkling non-alcoholic beverage, but Chloe got drunk and realized it was alcohol. Another fan argued that Chloe might not have been worried about imbibing because she was carrying an angel who was “probably immune to malformation.”
Another user suggested that the scene could be a flub by the writers. This might have happened because they wrote the drinking scene before the pregnancy reveal. However, no one noticed the mistake in post-production. Other fans couldn’t comprehend why adult Rory could watch her mother drink while pregnant after whining about her future.
‘Lucifer’ fans saved the show from cancellation
When Lucifer The show debuted on Fox. It received high ratings its first season, but viewership dropped as it progressed. After three seasons, the network decided to cancel the show. However, fans felt that there was more to the cheeky Devil and launched online petitions to force Fox to revive the series.
Netflix bought Lucifer Fox aired the show for two more seasons a month after its cancellation. After that, it announced the end of the fifth season. Once again, fans weren’t satisfied with the decision, so the streaming giant relented, bringing back the show for a sixth and final season.
Lucifer Season six, It debuted on Sept. 10, 2021. The curtains were closed on the series for good.
