DARTMOUTH, MA — State police have canceled an Amber Alert regarding a mother and baby who were abducted from a home in Dartmouth.
Just 20 minutes after the amber alarm was issued, state police stated that Hannah Benson, 23 and her 6-month old son were safe in Fall River.
According to police, Jeremias Cabra, 21, from Fall River, entered a Dartmouth residence on Tucker Road at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. He pulled out a knife, then took the baby and got in a car that was parked outside. According to police, Benson followed him as he drove away from the scene in the car.
Cabral was taken into police custody by the state after he found the trio in Fall River.
“The mother and child are also with police and their welfare is being assessed,” state police said.
