Gigi Hadid Shares Photos from Her Beach Getaway with Daughter Khai

Gigi Hadid shared a peek into her happy life and that of her daughter Khai Hadid Maklik.

Today’s Instagram carousel featured snaps taken at a beach trip she took with her toddler.

In the first photo, Hadid is seen kneeling next to a sand design she made for her baby girl; it reads, “Mama ❤️ Khai.” Hadid is wearing a hot pink triangle bikini and shell necklace. She also has board shorts with a pink, purple and blue flower design.

The second photo shows Hadid carrying her daughter, Hadid, while she walks along the beach. In the third photo, they are playing on the beach. A peek of Khai’s pink-and-purple outfit—perfectly matching her mom’s—is seen.

“Celebrated the new year w a lil r&r 🐚,” Hadid captioned the post, not disclosing the tropical location.

Hadid separated from Zayn Malik her long-term boyfriend, Khai’s dad, in October 2021. This was one year after the birth of their child. Since then, she has shared images from her and her little girl’s life together—never, however, revealing Khai’s face on social media.

“During my pregnancy I kept two journals: one I called my good diary and one I called it my bad journal. Although they weren’t literal, one journal was more for Khai’s memories. She said that she might give Khai the “bad” journal one day to let her be honest about it. She explained that the “bad” journal contained “anxieties and days when I felt like I wasn’t good enough to become a mother.” “I didn’t want to feel guilty for feeling those things or writing them down.”

She said that Khai was 10 months old when she visited the Hadid family farm in Bucks County.

The model said, “She loves birds, animals,” Hadid was asked if Khai would one day be a horseman like her mother. She will be riding a horse some day.
