Long-term Below Deck chief stew Kate Chastain is pregnant with her first child and, while she’s ready to raise it as a single parent, she’s getting plenty of help from the people around her. In fact, she’s even getting parenting tips from a former housewife.
The Below Deck alum – famous for her *ahem* blanket art – recently opened up about her pregnancy on an episode of Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast, as E! News reports.
“I’m fiercely independent,” Chastain said. “I don’t really love people’s opinions being different than mine, and trying to make me go their way. So I really am so excited that I’ll be able to do this exactly how I want to.”

However, there is one person that you will always love: Below Deck star is willing to take advice from – and it’s a fellow Bravolebrity.
Chastain and her have a very special bond The Traitors co-star The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Brandi Glanville is a former student who has been sharing lots of parenting tips with her.
“She texts me pretty much every day,” Chastain continued. “If I could read off the texts that I get from Brandi, I mean, they would go viral. She is the funniest human I’ve ever met. She’s also so intelligent and so kind.”
Glanville has still time to appear on several Bravo shows, including the forthcoming Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip season 4, she also has two sons, Mason and Jake, and gives “great parenting advice,” Chastain revealed, “and it’s always done in such humorous, direct Brandi style.”
Chastain has previously teased that she’s so excited to be a mom.
“I feel so great,” she said with excitement while promoting The Traitors. “I have my own little baby traitor holding me hostage for four more months.”
