Cristiano explained that her weight began to increase after the birth her son in 2018. She felt like she was in survival mode, as do most new parents.
She gave herself grace in her early years as a mother and reminded herself of that. She said that ‘having children is a beautiful thing,’ but she realized she missed the woman she was.
She would try to reduce her feelings by telling herself that she didn’t care anymore about what she looked like. She stopped wanting to have her photo taken over time.

To keep herself motivated and on track, she entered a bodybuilding competition when she began her weight loss journey in July 2021.
Cristiano began lifting five times a week, without changing her diet. She noticed a change in her body after three months but had lost only six pounds.
“I would wake up and have a cup of coffee. I wouldn’t eat at the gym. I would come home and say, “I’m going to eat a salad.” “I’m so healthy now,” she said. ‘TBecause I didn’t eat properly, by the end the day would be over. I would eat a lot.
In her 20s she had suffered from bulimia and made a vow to herself that she would lose weight in healthy and sustainable ways and not relapse.
Tamara Haddad was her nutrition coach. She introduced her to counting macros.
She stated that her initial macros included 200 grams carbs, 120g protein and 50g fat. This was just above 1700 calories.
Cristiano used an app for tracking her macros, and a food scale in order to ensure she was eating the correct portions. She had six meals instead of the usual three.
She noted that she did not follow a low-carb diet, but she did limit herself to 20 to 30 grams of carbs per meal to avoid insulin spikes.
Working moms start their mornings with half to a full cup of eggwhites with spinach and a packet oatmeal from Trader Joe’s.
The remainder of her meals are four ounces of protein and half a cup of rice, potatoes or other grains, as well as vegetables.
She also After she exercises, she has a protein shake and snacks throughout the day like caramel rice cake with peanut butter.
As long as she is eating healthy portions, there is no limit to her potential.
Cristiano noticed that her weight began to drop as soon as she changed her diet. She lost a total 35 pounds.
She stated that diet is where you should begin when talking about weight loss. If you have one thing that you can do tomorrow, it is to change your nutrition and food intake.
Cristiano not only achieved her goals but also had six-pack when she stepped on stage for her first bodybuilding competition, April 2022.
“After having a child, you have never had a six-pack in all your life. She recalled feeling proud of her abs. She continued to compete in three additional shows that year.
