“Congratulations to all the Alberta parents who welcomed babies last year, as well as those who are expecting babies in the future,” he said. “Our government looks forward to supporting all babies who were welcomed into our province this year as they grow up. Bringing a child into the world and raising them is probably one of the greatest experiences you can have.”
Alberta had 48,225 registered births in the last year. There were 24,781 boys and 23,437 girls among them. Seventeen of those births did not include the gender of the baby at the time of initial registration.
