Kelly Osbourne shares a relatable parenting story.
The 38-year old singer posted a selfie of her sleeping disorder to Instagram on Saturday. After spending the night caring for Sidney, her 2-month-old baby who she shares with Sid Wilson, she snapped the photo.
“Can I tell you that I stayed up late with a screaming baby?” Kelly wrote on Kelly’s photo, which showed her with her lavender hair in subtle waves. She also used #ILoveBeingAMum as a hashtag.
Kelly has kept her parenting journey secret, but her parents did not hesitate to share some of their experiences with the media. Sharon Osbourne, Kelly’s mother, revealed the news about her baby’s birth and his name during an episode on her TV series in January. The Talk People reported.
Sharon declared, “Sidney”, adding that Sharon and her son are doing “so great, so great.” She will not let him take a picture of herself, and that’s something I am so proud of.
Kelly was not so happy that her mom shared the information with the world. In an Instagram Story she explained more about keeping her family’s privacy.
“I’m not ready to share my baby with the rest of the world. Kelly stated that it is not the place of anyone but me to share any information regarding my baby.
Kelly spoke in October. Entertainment Tonight Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath’s rocker, shared information about her baby’s gender with her father before she wanted it to be made public.
Kelly explained, “He’s told everyone…the genitalia of my baby before me,” Kelly said. “And I’m just like: ‘Aww dad, come on. But I’ll say that he does a little song and dance every day about how excited and happy he feels to be a boy. It’s the first — out of me and my brother, it’s the first boy, so, he’s like planning all these things.”
Kelly said that although she isn’t always happy with the loose lips of her parents, she credits them for their unstoppable support. She shared the following: ET They have been “incredible” and “been with me every step on this journey,” which was made more difficult by her boyfriend’s hectic schedule, Slipknot.
“So, he has hardly been here. So, every milestone that I’ve kinda been through with my dad, and it’s been great. Even though he sometimes says the wrong things. He’ll say, “Wow, you are big,” when I walk in the room. I respond, “Thanks Dad.”
Kelly celebrated more than just the news of her pregnancy last year. She celebrated one year sober in May 2022.
“What a difference a year can make! She wrote an Instagram message, “If you had told me 365 day ago that I would become sober, happy and about to become momma, I would not have laughed in your face.” You can make life amazing if you put in the work. Thanks to everyone who has supported me throughout this journey. I love you all !!!!!!!”
