Mama June Shannon is working to rebuild her relationship with her kids.

The Mama June: Road to Redemption Star who rose to fame along with her youngest child Alana “Honey Boo Boo,” in TLC’s Toddlers & Tiaras In 2009, was mother to four daughters, Anna “Chickadee”, Jessica (“Chubbs”) Shannon, Lauryn (“Pumpkin”) Efrid, Alana (Honey Boo Boo”) Thompson.

After their success as a dynamic mother/daughter team on the pageant series, Alana & Shannon were offered a spinoff show. Honey Boo Boo!. The program aired between 2012 and 2014. In 2014, the family matriarch was said to have been dating a convicted sex offenders.

These include Shannon’s arrest in 2019 for drug possession charges, her losing custody in April 2022 of Alana, when Lauryn “Pumpkin,” was awarded sole custody after three long years of caring for her younger sibling.

Shannon was arrested in August with Eugene Edward Doak, her ex-boyfriend. She checked into rehab and documented her sobriety. Shannon celebrated 16 months sober last June 5th, 2021 on Instagram.

Shannon married Justin Stroud, her boyfriend for six months, in a Georgia courthouse, on March 23, 2022. She and Stroud were married almost a year later in an intimate ceremony at the oceanfront on February 18, 2023. Shannon and Stroud’s four daughters attended the event.

Shannon explained to PEOPLE that this was the first time in four years that the entire family has been together. “So it was really special that I got married in a location where my family has had so many fond memories!”

Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell – 28

Anna, Nicknamed “Chickadee”, is the oldest of Shannon’s children. June was 15 when Anna was born August 28, 1994. June’s ex boyfriend David Dunn is her father. Dunn never appeared in reality TV with the family.

June and Anna have been in a difficult relationship since 2003 when Anna moved out from her mother’s house to live with her grandmother. She had survived an assault by Mark McDaniel (registered sex offender), and Anna was forced to leave her mother’s place. PEOPLE reported that McDaniel had “would try to touch me and all the stuff” when Anna was eight years old.

“About a week after the incident, I spoke to Mama, and she was distraught, crying, and said, ‘I don’t believe in you, I don’t believe in you, why would this be done to me?’ Cardwell spoke to PEOPLE. “And I was like, “Mama! He did that to me, and I can’t change it.” You weren’t there to witness it. You were always at work. ”

She is now dating Eldridge Toney. Eldridge was officially announced on Instagram in April 2019.

Anna sued her mother in 2015 for unpaid appearances. Honey Boo Boo!Kaitlyn and she were owed $300,000. The mother-daughter duo have remained estranged over the years, although they did reunite for Shannon’s February 2023 nuptials.

Shannon shared the special day with PEOPLE that all four of her girls walked Justin down the aisle and his mom followed him.

Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon, 26

Shannon’s second-oldest daughter, named “Chubbs” by her reality TV shows, was born Oct. 12, 1996 to June Ford and Michael Anthony Ford.

Jessica appeared with her family on all of their reality shows as well as an episode of Steve Harvey’s. Family Feud. She graduated from Wilkinson Country High School, May 2015, and then went on to college in May 2018. “Y’all I made it?‍? It was hard but I pulled thru??,” the new grad captioned a photo of herself in a cap and gown on Instagram.

Anna and Jessica flew from Georgia together in February 2020 for full-body makeovers. Jessica stated that the procedure has changed her life. Jessica added, “I wouldn’t trade this for the world.” She shared that prior to the procedures she had felt deeply self-conscious for many years. “Me and my sibling would go out to do something, and I would change five, six more times because I felt like there was no good thing for me. Or I would turn around because it wasn’t right for me. [thought] Someone was judging me.”

Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird, 23

June’s third-oldest daughter, “Pumpkin”, was born Jan. 7, 2000. Lauryn was raised believing Mark McDaniel was her biological dad, who was sentenced to death for child molestation.

Lauryn was 14 years old when June was born ET McDaniel wasn’t her father. It was Michael Anthony Ford, her ex. Shannon explained that Jessica and Pumpkin have the exact same dad but Jessica’s father has never had anything to do with Jessica over the years. “So, why would I even open that can of worms up to today?” Shannon said. Lauryn became a mother when Joshua Efird and Lauryn welcomed Ella Grace in December 2017. The couple got married in Las Vegas the next year.

In July 2021, the couple welcomed their son Bentley into their lives. Lauryn’s Winnie-the-PoohShannon and her four daughters were reunited for the first-ever time since years with a themed baby shower.

In May 2022 Lauryn and Josh were blessed with twins, a girl (and a boy) who they shared a few sweet pictures of on Instagram.

Lauryn was given full custody of her younger sister, Alana. She has been living with her ever since Shannon was arrested for drug possession in 2019. Shannon is also set to pay Lauryn $800 a month in child support, until Alana turns 18.

Lauryn acknowledged that it was difficult to adjust to caring for Alana and her children in 2020.

“My mom has four children. Three of our children are now grown and can manage their own finances. Pumpkin explained that Alana is still 14 years old and needs her mom.
