Gemma Atkinson’s inspirational message online, which she shared during her pregnancy, has been widely praised. The actress and radio host has taken to Instagram for her updates about how her body is changing during her pregnancy.
To talk about the differences between her body and her pregnancies, the star shared two photos of herself that she posted to the social media site. Despite being called “big”, the star is happy with the changes she’s experiencing, the MEN reports.
Taking to Instagram, Gemma said: “Things I’ve learnt from my two pregnancies (first pic eight months after Mia, 2nd pic today). This is NOT an “I want my body back” post. Actually, it’s the opposite.
“The obvious is the change in body size and shape. My belly, boobs and legs have increased in size by two-thirds. Not all clothes fit and the majority certainly aren’t comfortable. Cellulite has doubled. My memory, coordination, balance, and coordination are all a bit off. The veins in my boobs when I’m warm are like a road map and from sleeping only on my left side for almost six months my back is a tad sore.
“People keep reminding how big I am. Yes, I do know. Believe it or not, I’m fully aware and I’m hoping to get bigger! It means that little man grows.
“I have two options: I can dwell on not feeling or looking like me for the nine months, or I can show up as usual. As I am. Get s*** done, run our home, work and be present for Mia bumping along each day at a time.
“Pregnancy taught me adaptability. And resilience. It’s by far the toughest workout I’ve ever done (and my coach once made me do the CHAD wod).
“I know for all mums to be that at times it’s hard. Emotionally and physically. BUT I’m a massive believer in that I am in control of how I approach things! I’m also conscious of the fact that for now, me and my baby are one. He feels what I feel so I’m reluctant to let in the negative energies.
“For this blessing of growing my son, I’m choosing to go ALL IN. Positively.”
Many mothers and fans praised her message online. Many mothers shared their experiences with people making comments about their bodies during pregnancy.
Amybowen84 commented: “The s*** pregnant women have to hear… I was ‘huge, have to carrying twins, about to drop’….. Etc etc etc….I birthed a perfectly healthy little girl. You can do it! Enjoy the ride. If I’m lucky enough to be pregnant again, I will do it completely differently!

M4hutch shared that she wishes she’d seen Gemma’s post during her own pregnancy. She said: “I wish I’d read such a positive post when I was pregnant with my son!!! Everyone felt the need to tell me that I grew so large and swollen. “Love this post!”
