KATE Ferdinand revealed she suffered from a’mini-breakdown’ and felt like she was ‘lost’ after becoming a mother.
The former Towie star, 31, is expecting a little girl with football legend Rio, 44.
Kate bravely spoke out at The Baby Show London about the ups, downs, and motherhood.
Host Zoe asked how she coped with her blended family with Rio and his children, who he shared with late wife Rebecca Ellison, who died in 2015 from cancer.
Kate was honest about her focus on the children and how it has meant that she doesn’t have time for herself.
She described how she felt physically like they were having a mini-breakdown. I felt so alone that I couldn’t even dress myself.
Kate revealed the birth of her son Cree has brought the family closer as a unit although there were initial worries.”
She explained that Cree arrived at her home with a lot of anxiety because Cree is my first biological child. We didn’t know how Cree would fit in the mix. But it’s been wonderful and brought us closer.
Kate also showed off her baby bump yesterday as she did a home pilates class.
The mom-to-be wore black to her gym session and took a side profile mirror selfie without makeup.
On Instagram, she wrote: “Bump growing nicely. I recall when I was pregnant by Cree, I was so anxious about how big my baby would grow, but now I’m grateful for having a healthy baby!” It’s growing quickly, but it’s something I love.
Earlier this week Kate revealed the sex of her second baby with husband Rio Ferdinand.
The former Towie star, 31, is expecting a little girl – and made the exciting announcement on her podcast, Blended.
Former footballer Rio, 44, joined her on the special episode, and she told how they had both guessed the sex correctly.
The couple revealed that Tia, their stepdaughter, had “prayed” for Tia to have a younger sister. She will now be able to fulfill her wish.
Ex-Manchester United ace Rio said: “I wanted a girl, I knew it was a girl, but I actually wanted a girl.
“I wanted boys right from the start.”
He said, “That’s me, I’m done now. A five-a-side team.”
Kate married Rio in 2019, and the pair already share young son Cree, two.
