Kate Ferdinand revealed that she signed up for a C-section after the birth of her son. The former The Only Way Is Essex actress announced that she was pregnant with her second baby with Rio, her former footballer husband.
The happy news came after Kate suffered a “devastating miscarriage” last year. Kate, 31 years old, spoke on The Motherkind Podcast with Zoe Blaskey about her birth plans.
After the birth of Cree, her son with Rio, she said that she was not taking any chances. Kate explained that she is having a C-section after having to go into an emergency last time and that it was okay.
“Last year, I had an emergency c-section and had to push all the way. Then it went wrong. I could have had both of my births. [already]… I think I know what I’m doing and I’m hopeful that it might be easier.”
Kate showed her baby bump earlier on Instagram to her followers. Posing in a tight-fitting dress with her hand on top of her bump, she wrote: “This little one is taking all of mummy’s energy, but I know that means she’s growing nicely. “Still a little bit numb, but very grateful.
Kate is also the step-mum of Rio’s children Tate, Lorenz (16 years old), and Tia (12 years old).
