Sweet: Millie Mackintosh shared throwback photos from the day her children were birthed while openly discussing her csection experience
Candid: In an Instagram photo, Millie smiled as she held her growing baby bump.
“I enjoyed the experience so much that I decided to go back with Aurelia. We even dropped the curtain to watch her deliver!
“I feel so fortunate to have had such positive birth experiences, but I often talk to women who are told that they must have a Caesarean section. They are afraid, upset, and feel like the birth they want has been taken away from them.
Millie continued: ‘I feel really strongly that the narrative around c-sections needs to change, they are almost seen as the ‘easy’ way out, or at times, an inferior way to give birth.
‘I like to call it an abdominal birth because you are still birthing your baby, often people refer to a vaginal delivery as ‘natural’ which makes an abdominal birth sound like it’s the opposite. Each situation is different, and sometimes an emergency C section is necessary. I cannot speak for everyone.
‘I’ll tell my birth stories to anyone that will listen as I think we need to start sharing more positive c-section stories – my births were both incredible! Naturally, I support the individual’s choice and will do what is best for them.
She closed by saying that while motherhood and birth are unpredictable, it is important to be prepared with as much information as you can.
Millie, who revealed in 2020 that she felt a loss of identity after becoming a mom, made this statement.
In a new interview, she told OK! that fashion was difficult for her after giving birth and that she had trouble finding her identity. But she is now back to her best self.
She shared with her 1.4 million followers, “April marks c section awareness month, which is a time that holds an important place in my heart.”

Millie recently made a commitment to a healthier lifestyle and is now celebrating seven months sober, having given up alcohol.
She stated that she had previously said that her decision to quit alcohol was because it triggers anxiety.
Millie spoke to the magazine about her venture with Paolita fashion brand, and she also talked about her journey with her own style.
She explained to OK! how motherhood affected this.”I felt a loss in my identity after having children.
‘Don’t let trends dictate your life. They will fade quickly. To me, colour is like therapy. It makes me feel good. I also love the transformative power of clothes.
Millie was locked down when she gave birth to Sienna, the eldest of her children. This caused Millie to spiral into post-natal depression. She now has to share that identity loss.
Millie admitted previously that the birth was a ‘daunting’ experience. However, Millie had to give birth by herself, without Hugo as her partner, due to pandemic restrictions.
Millie also spoke out about her recent lifestyle change, in which she gave up alcohol. She shared: “I’m seven month into no alcohol and I really focus on my gut health.
“After having children, I was constantly sick. I would get knocked down by something, then recover for about a week and then be knocked down again by another thing.
Millie discovered that her mental health was linked to drinking and decided to quit the former after a breakthrough in therapy.
The TV personality shared the news via Instagram three months after she quit drinking.
She explained: ‘I had a breakthrough in therapy and decided to stop drinking alcohol, I didn’t want to admit it but it’s a huge trigger for my anxiety.

‘It has an instant negative effect on my mental health and right now I’m focused on feeling my best, finding happiness in my life and not trying to escape from it,’ she penned.
Continuing: ‘It’s been 12 weeks and I’m enjoying sober life, not missing the ‘hanxiety’, feeling more energised, my skin is looking great and I’m sleeping much better.
Millie continued to discuss that she may reintroduce to drinking in the near future before asking her followers if they have.
‘Now, I’m not saying I’ll never drink alcohol again, I’m just saying that right now, I’m not and I want to keep going. Is anyone else done with alcohol? How do you find it? I’d love more sober and curious people to share their experiences.
