Two weeks prior, the couple announced that they were expecting their sixth baby together. Walker admits that the loss has been especially shocking because they’ve had five successful full-term pregnancies, and because the baby had been doing so well.
“We were laughing so hard because she was so active,” Walker says, recalling their 13-week ultrasound checkup. “And it was all so perfect.”
- The Walkers share four sons (2, 5, 10 and 14, respectively) and one girl (age 13).
- Clay Walker has 2 adult children.
- Walker also struggles with multiple sclerosis.
The 53-year old Walker believes that faith and friends helped them to cope with their pain. “I’m not sure how mothers manage to live their lives after such a painful experience,” says Walker. “It’s just so, so deep.
As a husband and father, being powerless to stop it, to protect the feelings of my wife or baby is a terrible feeling.
The fact that the room for the baby girl was already set up, complete with clothes and a chosen name, only added to the misery. He said she was going to be named Eleanora Lindsay.
Clay and Jessica are married since 2007. His hits include: “If I Could Earn a Living,” What’s It To You,” “Then What,” and “This Woman and This Man.” According to his site, the singer will perform a MS charity concert in Houston on April 27 before taking a break. He’ll then play several concerts throughout May.
