Congratulations are in order for David Tag, who has announced he’s about to become a dad for the second time!
Hollyoaks’ star Abi Harrison confirmed that she is pregnant with her second child. They welcomed their son Reuben, their first child, in 2021.
David, 38 years old, who played Sylver MacQueen in Channel 4’s soap opera, announced the news by posting a photo of his wife and their baby.
The black and white snap showed Abi holding her little boy’s hand while basking in sunny climates.
Abi’s summer dress, which is tight fitting, highlights her burgeoning bump.
David captioned his Instagram post: ‘My little boy is soon going to be a big brother ♥️?’
Fans and friends expressed their joy at the news of the expecting parents.
Ex-Hollyoaks star Parry Glasspool wrote: ‘Oh my lawwwwd, congrats mate! Big move!’
Dancing On Ice coach Yebin Mok commented: ‘Awww congratulations you two!’
Shortly after the birth of Reuben in 2021, David and Abi spoke about expanding their little family, so we can imagine they’re overjoyed as they await the arrival of baby number two!
David announced Reuben’s arrival with a sweet Insta post in June 2021, uploading a picture of the newborn’s tiny hand.
‘Welcome to the big wide world baby boy ??’, he wrote to his followers.
Several of his Hollyoaks co-stars rushed to congratulate him, as Nikki Sanderson wrote: ‘Ahh amazing!! Congratulations’.
Chelsee Healey typed: ‘Oh my god congratulations all can’t wait too see him’. Actress Nadine Mulkerrin added: ‘Congratulations dude xxx’.
Baby Reuben has featured on David’s social media countless times since he was born, whether it’s family holidays or morning cuddles in bed.
‘One of us finds it hilarious that I’m knackered’, David wrote in January, as the tired first-time dad looked noticeably worn out while sitting in bed next to his giggling son.
The family also recently took a trip away for David’s birthday, as the soap star joked alongside his photos: ‘Not a bad birthday weekend apart from little man eating all my cake’.
David and Abi are together since 2019. They moved in just one week before the Covid-19 first lockdown.
In an earlier interview with Ok! Magazine, the couple said of their relationship: ‘We moved in together a week before lockdown and then we moved again a week before I gave birth.
‘I think if we can survive all that we can survive anything!’
