Meet Manuela Santos de Moura, a Giant baby Who was born measuring 53 centimetres and weighing 10lbs 14oz.
Big little Manuela was also born with a great head of hair, and has been dubbed a ‘super baby’ thanks to her unusual size.
Her mum, Adriana da Silva Santos, said: ‘Manuela is wearing clothes that would be for three-month-old babies.
‘She was born already grown, and I’ll need to buy everything new.’
Manuela, born at 41 weeks via C section in the Municipal Maternity Hospital, Peruibe, Sao Paulo State in April 23 was quite large.
Adriana, 29, said: ‘The delivery was scheduled, but I didn’t expect her to be born so huge.
‘It’s a great feeling. She’s smart and has lots of hair.’
The reason why some babies are so large is because they have a medical condition like gestational diabetes.
This was not the case for this mother and daughter.
Adriana told local media: ‘I had no illness or health changes.
‘My diet was normal, and I ate everything. I don’t know what the secret was.’
The mother and child are both doing well after being released from hospital on the 26th of April.
Adriana said: ‘We are great. Manu is in good health and looks beautiful.
‘Now, it’s time to enjoy her and live every moment.
‘I’m going to donate everything I have here, because nothing fits her.
‘We’re going to make a new layette. We received four onesies and that’s what she’s wearing.’
