Kim Kardashian ‘cries herself to sleep’ after difficult days raising her four children

Kim Kardashian has opened up about the challenges of parenting her four children — sharing she sometimes cries herself to sleep after difficult days.

The 42-year-old reality star, SKIMS founder and former wife of Kanye West, has four kids with him.

The couple has two daughters, North and Chicago, both aged nine and five years old, and also sons Saint, aged seven, and Psalm age four.

In an upcoming podcast episode of On Purpose With Jay Shetty, the star opened up about raising her children — suggesting that parenting was different to what she imagined.

“’Everyone says the days are long and the years are short, and that couldn’t be like a more true statement,” she said.

“So, like, when you’re in it, I mean, especially when they’re babies and you’re feeding and there’s madness going on. It’s like full madness. It’s the best chaos though.

“Like, my mornings, you have no idea what is going on. It’s like I always have to do one of my daughter’s hair, and it has to be perfect and it has to be a certain way.

“And then this one needs me to put his shoes on and they all need you. It’s like full crazy madness, cooking, running around. Like, it’s wild.

“That’s why I need my workout in the morning, just to like, prepare for the two hours of craziness.”

Kardashian added: “I’d say parenting is the thing that has taught me the most about myself. It’s been the hardest thing.

“There are nights I cry myself to sleep, like: ‘What just happened?’ You know, with all the moods, all the personalities, and sometimes they’re fighting.”

She also opened up about trying to adapt to life as a single mother, adding: “There’s no one there. Like, it’s me to play good cop and bad cop. So, like, that is definitely a challenge.”

She admitted that she was “working on being a little bit firmer”.

Kardashian and West got married in Florence in Italy in 2014. After months of speculation, they separated in 2021.

Kardashian has since been briefly linked to comedian Pete Davidson — while West is now remarried to architectural designer Bianca Censori.

Earlier this month, Kardashian wore an  “I Love Nerds” T-shirt to watch the LA Lakers take on the Golden State Warriors.

The star, who is currently believed to be single following her divorce from West and the end of her relationship with comedian Davidson, wore a tight T-shirt with the phrase “I Love Nerds” emblazoned across it with jeans and heels.

She attended the Met Gala in a stunning pearl dress as a tribute to late fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld.

In the same month, Kardashian officiated at an intimate Las Vegas wedding between her hair stylist Chris Appleton (left) and actor Lukas Gaage.
